Bernstein and Comden & Green’s "rapturous, red-blooded score" (New York Daily News) - featuring some of the most heartfelt and memorable songs in the musical canon (including "New York, New York," "Lonely Town," "Lucky to Be Me" and "Some Other Time"), and brought to life by a 28-piece orchestra (the biggest on Broadway) - remains, 70 years after its premiere, among the finest scores ever written for the stage.
